I have been an XDR user for 9 years. They have proved to produce a very nice image at an affordable price. What I like most is that in some cases the cord is replaceable by XDR for a reasonable price. This can give a sensor a longer usable lifespan versus having to replace the sensor. Technical support is always swift and they do a nice job keeping me up and running.

When my DEXIS warranty/support ran out for my PCMCIA sensor, DEXIS wanted something like $12K to $15K to upgrade to their ‘new’ USB Sensor.  I said screw that, and picked up two XDR sensors, software and warranty for a few thousand less than DEXIS, plus with a lot nicer support.

I had an older Schick that went out on me last year and had to decide to go with the Schick 33 or something totally different. Ended up going with XDR to save money and have been very happy. Picture quality is real good and costs half the price.

We also use it to acquire and manipulate the images from our Planmeca pano and used it with our Serona pano before that. I have XDR and they are AWESOME! It’s been over 10 years now (2005). I highly recommend that you go see them and test their equipment and software.  Compare their prices and you will come away like I did, very impressed with their product and it’s only getting better. We were the first in Hawaii with XDR and did a remote setup and training here with no problems (converted from film). Comparing to my colleagues’ quality of images with their systems, I wouldn’t trade XDR for anything. The software is stable, but more importantly it’s very easy to use.  It does not have all the bloated bells and whistles that some companies have, but they do have all the necessary tools that are needed. The icing on the cake is that their customer support has continued to be excellent.  Love you guys!

I put my vote in for XDR. I have been using them for several years and really like the sensors and software. I have also used them long enough to answer the real question, what happens when a sensor breaks? Cause they will. All sensors at some point will fail. What I like about XDR is they sent me a loaner sensor and then had my sensor sent back perfectly fixed the following week. The sensors are design to be easily taken apart and the wire which is nothing more than a USB cable replaced. Most of the time when a sensor breaks it’s the connection between the cable and the sensor. Not the CMOS chip itself. So the warranty is a lot less, and for me their service is exceptional.

XDR has been a wonderful addition to my practice. I was first exposed to this system at the Samaritan Health Center, where the company has graciously donated a sensor and software to this free local clinic. While I had been planning to choose between Dexis, Kodak and Schick, XDR proved to be everything I was looking for in image quality as well as price. I also liked the warranty better than the competitors, though we have had no downtime. The company is very responsive to questions. A regional trainer spent a day with us after we had become familiar with the system and that was a big help, though the software is very intuitive. They also guided me on how to configure my computers to capture images from my Acucam cameras into the software. We have also enjoyed the ease of emailing our images with referrals. I would have done this sooner if I knew it would work this well.

After looking at many systems, we decided to go with XDR digital radiography. The system was easy to install, and the training spot on. The best part of transitioning from film x-ray to digital x-ray is the company support from XDR. As a new user, we had many questions and XDR was always prompt and accurate in returning our calls or come out to see what the company could do to help. We cannot say enough about the helpfulness of the company to get us up and running with our new system. There are many companies out there, the major difference is the customer support. We have been very happy with our transition.
